    Hey,

I am currently using free godaddy hosting for one of my sites while I am waiting for it to grow. Doing this puts a godaddy banner at the top. I was wondering if and how much this was hurting my search engine rankings. Thanks for any input. Here is an example: http://www.black-tea-benefits.com

It takes away alot focus and value from the rest of your page. Its hurting your SERPs for sure and your rankings too.

All it's really doing is giving godaddy another back link... there's plenty of free hosts who don't require any ads on your site

Hey Arti Rahmati when are you going to finish your weed growing website :D

But to get on topic, it won't hurt SEO but it will hurt your website by having an ugly banner stating free hosting

What would you think if ebay had a free hosting banner on there website?

I don't think it really hurts your ranking positions.

there are many webhosting offer you FREE without ads or banners.

but i suggest you buy your own, it won't cost much.... actually, a good hosting shall not cost more than 1$ a week...

having webhosting is a great thing, coz u have full level of control over your website and of course SEO related issues.

I don't think that having forced ads impacts SEO but it definitely impacts visitor's impression of your site.
