Well I noticed there is a thread for just arcade sites so I decided to make a thread just for forum owners.

What kind of owner are you:
A.) One or two big forums
    B.) Multiple mini forums

Personally I'm B.) I like to spread my work out and work on a lot of things.

Post your site here if you want a let others give you tips and compliments. :D

I prefer one bigger forum and site. Why? because rather than spreading your risk which is good as long as you don't go over the top, the main reason is that you can focus on updating one sites content, promoting your forum more, helping to keep your forum active more, etc. by just having the one site to work with.

I just have a small forum with a few hundred members registered and a very low percentage of that active right now.

I own Occult Corpus (an occult/magick/pagan forum) and it's the only forum I own... so I guess I'm C) One small forum ;)

    Threads: 3,969, Posts: 33,436, Members: 1,061, Active Members: 139

It's been open for just over two years, and I've not promoted it all that much, so I guess I am not doing all that bad...averaging over a new member daily.

I agree with John, I could have started several teeeny forums, but I like just the one. It's easier to track, and easier to promote one over 100 (or ten).

I own a sportscard forum in my signature. I prefer 1 bigger forum for the same reasons mentioned above. I like focusing on one thing at a time and getting them to grow faster.

I have a Decent Webmasters Forum. It is growing slowly but surely :)

I think forums are really very hard to get popular now a days, because there are already a lot of forums.

But if the admin of any forum keeps working hard and put informative and good content in the initial days of his forum then his forum will surely grow, it will take time but it will happen for sure. Patience is very important :)
