hi, i am planning to start a new blog. I am not sure if i should start it on blogger or a ".co.cc" domain or anything else. It would be helpful if you can give pros & cons on the following issues: #1: How does google differentiate between ".blogspot" & ".co.cc" or any other. #2: Social Media sites like Digg, SU, Reddit etc. generally dont prefer ".blogspot", what about ".co.cc" ? #3: Should i use default blogger templates or go for different templates ? 1: How does google differentiate between ".blogspot" & ".co.cc" or any other I will say never to use co.cc because it will only be indexed by google and will never shw upto search engines. i have used it. I would prefer to start of with default template becuase it very well seo . After started being indexed and being crawled good by bots or your bog is an hit. you can change template. Using new temlates at begginig may cause you some problems with indexing a start. If you have complete knowledge of it then only you can strat of with a new template. That was very useful Gyan. Thanks for that Rep Added. About Social Media and Blogspot blogs. I haven't read it anywhere but its my previous experience that makes me think that way. My 2-3 blogs got banned (Those Blogs didn't have a single ad) from Digg. Maybe Digg users consider blogspot as spam.
I have several blogs submitted to Digg but they were never banned. One must submit other people's blogs to Digg to harness your reputation.
I actually prefer Blogspot. It's very user friendly. But wordpress is not bad either(though it's bit complicate intially, but once you get used to it - it goes fine). I maintain a wordpress blog, I have a domain name and hosting my blog too. Don't even ask me how complicated the technical jargon is in order to hot yoir blog and gain traffic!
Keep in mind these tips to use digg. Never digg your post yourself.. makr friends on digg as much you can.. The ask them to digg there posts... and you digg theres.. You wll never get banned...... and content should be fresh or new not so old The result wil come your way...
blogspot? no no no. Better start with wordpress.com then, if you need more freedom, try self hosted blog(wordpress)
NADA,nonono,It not better,but it different OK,wordpress is more pro and high-tec but blogger is more simple and easy to control so it a big different ,I been using blogger and LOVE IT, it much more simple and easy to control so try blogger and NO,DON"T use the default blogger, just go to google and put blogger template and u find your own but here the thing,if U use the blogger default template it update automatic if there a new feature for EX: there a new feature call rating which people rate the post but if u doen't use default template, U got to add the code your own, so use blogger I been there mroe than 8 month and it going really good.
yes. Blogger is the best option for now, especially if you're new to blogging. And adding revenue is easy too, but you have to make sure the content is great..
