10,000 imps but just 19 dollars earned

It depends on your content. In one of my sites i get 25 $ for 75,000 impressions. Compared to it, your cpm is very high. Try changing ad locations and colors and see if you can make more from those 10k impressions.

 

I've seen sites which make just 20$ for 70,000 page views, lol

add more value to your website, more quality content.

A quick question please,when you suggest changing the position of the adsense ads or the colour of the ads how long would you give to each change to see if this has improved revenue before changing it again ???? Would it be days or weeks or what.

 

Based on the number of impression which you have given + earning, it's either your ctr is too low or your cpc is terrible. Usually ctr should be in the region of 2% and if it's not, then work on the ads placement and blending. If it's related to cpc whereby you are getting only a meager 1 - 2 cents per click, then there's nothing much you can do. Maybe work on filter out low paying ads, that's all.

 

I'm doing pathetic. For 10,000 page impressions I only get $6-7. I think its something to do with the automatic adsense plugin which I'm using on my blog, coz before on static pages of the same niche, the conversion was good.

 

i think your ctr is very low which is affecting the cpm - try different coloured ads - i always prefer red ads over blue .

 

It depends on your niche, you eCPM is 1.9, not very bad

 

Could be low paying niche (have two sites like that), lack of quality and original content, and you can also try reducing number of ads to get clicks that pay more.

 

me 10k at around usd20.... i guest it normal for low paying niche

 

Seems to depend on the niche, I make about $1 cpm from adsense lately which is fantastic for me and my niche!

 

I agree, desperate peoples tend to click more on ads. I have seen this for websites with niche like make money online.

My current Stats: 8,300+ impressions, 860+ clicks, earnings $170

eCPM is about $20...pretty good, huh?

it might e ad placement as this should be higher.

 

I suggest you try to increase your CTR. Try different ad units like, 336*280 or 250*250 etc, and put them in different ad placements. Try different combinations of ad units and ad placements to see which one gives you the best CTR.

 

there are some positions or places on site where the visitor eyes catches the ad, if u get that u hit the bulls eye, try different colored ads on white background.

 

that is about $1.9 eCPM which is not bad
some people only dream of this eCPM
it really depends on the niche
