Need a quick review, will give reps to real reviews

Hey all,
This is a surf forecast blog I put together for Okinawa japan.
What are your thoughts?

OKINAWA SURF

 

Nice blog, text is clearly visible and a very decent layout, and every module has a correct position.
You just need to take your footer a little bit down to the blue Image, so that it completely visible.

 

Here is my review:

You have a decent layout with easy navigation. Your color theme is fresh and suits the theme.

I would recommend a little editing on the banner. Find some cooler texts and edit the image, especially the (#1 Surf Information Site in Okinawa).

The big font I think could also use a little changing although it is already good ... I usually prefer looking at big rounded fonts.

 

Very nice Professional layout... Try to add some adsense ads on the left sidebar aswell. The logo is very good. Good luck with your site.

 

I'm not into surfing but it would sure help if the blog also caters and provide information for newbies like myself. Anyway, it has overall good design with nice use of colors. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

 

At the moment I think things like the forum on the right hand side are lost as they dont' look like menu items so you might want to move tat link over to the left with the other links.

Also, try and add more varied content, especially as the site offers "forecasts and more".

But overall, really clean site and good header.

 

Is there only weather topic spotlighted, or other topics available too?

it is not really a weather site, the models that i post there show swell(wave) height and direction, and to the trained eye of any surfer worth his/her salt, they are all you need to predict where and when the waves will be. by adding in wind & tide info it gives a good idea of what the overall conditions of the waves will be like.

the more part will come when the waves do, i plan on taking some of my surfing time to jump on the water cams and make some vids and photos of the local surfers.

The blog is well designed, the theme, the layout, and the color scheme
is excellent.

 

the top of the page is too busy with little space in the header which contradicts the ample spacing in the main part of the design. Especially too much space between the header and the start of the content.

Color scheme good but try to add some shadows on the left/right margins to make the page pop out.

On the right of the page the graphics around the border are all messed up with various lines everywhere (viewing on FF 3.x)

 

As a designer my self ill rate it A grade.
Looks really Decent and professional.Simplicity is doen brilliantly.
And for negatives, ill say a better logo could be done.

 

The looks very nice and clean. not many blogspot blogs have such nice theme.8.5/10
