    Hi All,

A little while ago I coded up what I consider to be a pretty cool Audio/Video App :)

I thought I'd post something about it on here and see what people think. Im thinking of maybe selling the script for like 4$ or 5$ to web designers or anyone that spends hours on end on the net that enjoy music as much as myself.

Take a look at the screenshot let me know your thoughts.

    http://onlinemediaconsole.com/screen1.gif

You can create dyname playlists. Upload zip files full of mp3's the server will unzip the zip and place a new folder in the folder list.

The app displays mp3s as well at video :)

I use this as my stereo every day! One kick ass pc is in my living room and acts as the dvd player and stereo :D

Yep no doubt :) Im pretty sure with the extensive knowledge I've gained over learning perl for the last 4 years or so that transitioning over to PHP would be very easy :D

I still LOVE PERL more though :D

I wonder what the 'Swolen Members' album contains...

Seems promising. So it's a web based media player, right?

MWahahaha Swolen Members is pretty good :D

Yep pretyt much a web based media player with dynamic playlist ability :)

I can go into every folder in the folder list select a few songs from each then name a playlist and create it :)

    ex.

I have one I use for when I work out with a little bit of the heavier music I called it Workout.

All I have to do is select that playlist everytime I want to work out and it plays the tunes I prefer to hear.

the interface is kinda basic but someday Ill contract my favorite web designer to make up a pretty front end for it :)

Yea I really like perl a lot... I started with it 8 years ago or so.. never really was good at it but learned enough to hack and slash away at scripts.

The only issue with perl really from my experience is its not really scaleable like php.... its hard to write a site in perl that would scale to say... 50k/uniq per day.

Why do you like Perl over PHP? Have you tried Object-Oriented programming in both languages? I think OO PHP is much better than OO Perl.
