Ok, I know that here in the U.K. it means wives of footballers of something.

But, on ValleyWAG, popular Silicon Valley blog http://valleywag.com/ what it means? Can it mean scoop/gossip?

Question is related to domain names cause I'm interested to buy one domain name with WAG in it, and it's expensive so I'm just checking.

Think it's a play on the word "Scallywag", which is kind of like a lovable rogue.

In the football context you're referring to, WAG stands for "Wives And Girlfriends".

In the other context it's a verb referring to the process of loose talk, idle chit-chat or gossip, as in the phrase "tongues are wagging".

yeah, I'd go for Wives And Girlfriends, i think its just a play on words from this site, seeing as valley rymes with scally anyway.
