Not scared of the dentist..I had braces for 4 years and it was quite painful...I'd go get dental work done anytime before having to get braces put on again...

I'm not longer afraid since discovering the lovely nitrous oxide. Now the dentist is a breeze!

there was a guy on here about a year ago or more...he had a HORROR story and 1/2 of a dentist visit...must have been in a remote country or something, sounded like the dark ages.

I'll have to try to dig that one up, might have been in the UG section.

when i was 15 years old i had to get braces.
unfortunately, the dentist completely screwed up the procedure and my teeth were actually WORSE than they started.
i was afraid to go to the dentist for 3 years...

Dentists have to be inherently evil people. First they decide they want to be a dentist, something is wrong. Then they go through years of training. They have years, literally years to change their career path after having experience the horrors of the dentistry field first hand, but they go on to graduate. A dentistry degree(or whatever they call it) is effectively a primary qualifier for a sadistic personality. I would argue that dentists are even more demented than morticians. While studies show that 4 out of 5 morticians are necrophiliacs, dentists have a more diabolical streak by virtue of them wanting to act out their sadistic aggressions on the living. In fact, most morticians will refuse to have sex with the corpse of anyone from the dentistry field as a matter of principle.
