I was just curious to see if all the problems since Jagger thru Big Daddy has caused anyone, especially webmasters, to change their search engine of choice.

I am going to take a wild guess that this poll will show most people still use the same SE (which is mostly Googlers).

I still have the Google tool bar so when I'm researching new content I still use G but in the last couple of months have also been using MSN just to reconfirm the info I have.

I've been using both Yahoo/MSN a lot more since Google is (should I really say) pissing me off. Billy has came to my rescue for search.

Im still using Google. I think unless MSN and Yahoo don't change/improve their SERPs, many people will still keep using Google.

Google is for computer nerds like us and MSN is for "real" people "out there" :)

my site has around 400 page results in google, 20 in msn and 1 on yahoo and its 2 month old and has around 60,000 page views per month and around 200 original and unique content pages.

this says enough about what can you find in yahoo ... almost nothing. so i will never search for something in yahoo because their search results are based mostly on merchandising.

in my opinion yahoo is only a bigger paid directory

    Not sure of my vote.

Over time I have learned to ignore Google beyond the search.

I use Google when I need to research, but I don't care any longer if my sites are indexed, if the rank is up or down, if pages were dropped, nor even to check my AdSense revenue or install the Google Toolbar.

For me the positions are different. I have most sites showing up on yahoo, then google then msn.
The positions of google and yahoo used to be reversed before the mess.

I went from 250 000 pages indexed in google to a measly 500......

I realize this happened to a lot of sites, but quite a few others weren't affected and I think I know why.

I like how Google tries to be open etc, but it seems like it's turning more in to picking favourites.

I do you use MSN & Yahoo more frequently now. Google is a habit for most tech related people but if they keep up this sharade any longer, they will be loosing their visitors fast. Unfortunately I have to agree with one of the posters above that Yahoo is a big paid commercial directory full of ads. When you search something, there are 3-5 sponsored results at the top 2-4 at the bottom and a few real search results in between. I am not even mentioning the ads on the right hands side...

I am not sure if I understand the question but...

For my own personal searches I switch between Google and Yahoo. Often I find better results for the sorts of things I search for on Yahoo. I started using Yahoo maybe 6 months ago.

As far as SEO, I take a very general approach to it and it seem to generate FAR better results with Yahoo and MSN. To be honest I just forget about Google as far as serps go. I have a few terms that float in and out of Google but it is anything but useful or reliable.

If there is rhyme or reason to Google, it is beyond me.
