    Hi,

Is anyone using Deep freeze prof. ?

What are the pros and cons of it ? Do you recommand using it?

One of my friend told me to use it... just wondering how good it would be.

    Thanks in advance.

    As per my friend,

it is a utility which will restore all our settings, files etc. upon restarting our systems. we need to configure some settings on it.

Yes, Deep freeze is a good soft ware but I don't use that application. It always annoys me when I see my PC always going back to the old settings that I did. It's good for some Computer cafe.

Not anymore... When I was in College I used to have it coz I don't have any reliable AV, But after having Zone Alarm Internet Security I never use DeepFreeze anymore.

Well, in my experience with deepfreeze it was really a great software. It's a very light piece of System Restore Software. Most Adwares, Mallwares and Viruses don't have any match with deepfreeze, they may infect your PC but after reboot all those virus will be gone.

Deepfreeze protects your hard disk from getting any single change. For example you freeze drive C after that expect that you can't change anything on your drive C.

The bad thing about it is that when ever you want to install some software on your FREEZE Drive you must UnFreeze the drive then restart your PC then install your desired software then Freeze the drive again for protection.

Overall I love the Software coz It is so light and WAY3x useful compared to Windows XP System Restore.

But currently I don't feel the need of having it on my laptop and PC.

    :D

Thanks for your well explanation. I appreciate.

I am not so sure I will use it soon as I have a habit of downloading / copying the data/files to my desktop. So, if I do the same in freeze mode then upon restart I will all the data I copied to my desktop. So, need to change the habit first and then start using this one :D
