A quick experiment to show you the importance of URL for the Ads served through Adsense.

Take any page of your website that serves Adsense, save it on your desktop. Double click on the saved file and see the ads that are served. All ad would be related to Destop , Wall Papers etc. I have repeated this experiment on atleast 3 pages and have seen the same behavior.

So i guess you guys got my point, whenever writing a post give utmost importance for what goes in your page "slug" (for self hosted WP) or page tltle (blogspot users)

Thanks for sharing this, this just puts more weight on the URL. I can visualize the guys picking high paying keywords for their blog posts' titles ! LOL

Well, there is a lot more to it than that. Google cannot crawl the content of your desktop (yet, lol) so it has no other choice but to serve ads based upon the title.

Now, save that same file to a server and after time I'd bet you good money that when the google-bot indexes it for content, the ads become relative to the content moreso than the title or urlname.
