I manage all my domains with Godaddy.
till now no problem at all.
Never tried Namecheap and Name.com's services. but heard alot goos things about these 2 as well.
well, its sometime about ur luck, that ppl get into mess with godaddy, even if they havent done anythin wrong.
    Sad part though.

It makes me sick to see threads like this. Try to do your research before posting a thread like this. 30 seconds of research would have showed you that:

Godaddy does not charge for inter-registrar pushes.

It's called upselling. Anyone who knows anything at all about the retail/hospitality industry, knows that upselling is extremely important.
If it were your business and you were offering the discounts that Godaddy offers, you would want it too.

Godaddy is kind enough to take into consideration that there are certain people who simply wish to do what they came there to do. Therefore they added a link that skips the add and takes you right to your cart.

Their checkout system is the same as all other checkout systems. They also offer an option to link your paypal account which is convenient.

Had you ever taken time to actually LOOK at the pages instead of just clicking the links, you would have seen there is an option to go directly to your cart to complete your transaction.

    It's not rocket science people!

My suggestion to all of you is to do your research before posting. Try posting something informative for a change. To see a pile of posts full of ignorance, wasting bandwidth, bad-mouthing a business and making false claims saddens me. This is the problem with the internet today. Everybody wants to be a part of it, but nobody wants to take the time to do their research and figure things out for themselves.

I have been with Godaddy for years and have NEVER had one problem. They provide many excellent services and their customer support is up to par and helpful. Then again, I very rarely need to call them for anything. :D

I recommend doing your research if you are looking for new services. Compare Registrars. Read reviews. (If you are reading forum reviews, check the poster's history for reputability.)

Godaddy is safe, secure and chances are pretty good that they'll never go out of business. I recommend using them, but like I said DO YOUR RESEARCH to see if what they have to offer meets your needs.

Has anyone been using Moniker? Could anyone tell me how their experience with moniker is. I'm looking to move my domains there.

I'm not sure I'm buying this.

First of all, godaddy makes a point to send out renewal requests to prevent the loss of the domain by the owner.

One the domain has expired, (365 days after you register it) the nameservers are converted back to the default godaddy nameservers. As soon as you renew the name servers are converted back.
It's a different story if you operate a website with Godaddy. Nothing changes.

I don't see how you can call them crooks.

I would do the very same thing if I operated a registrar. It makes perfect sense.

I have used moniker and their services was good however its nice to stick with only one registrar instead of many. I have found GoDaddy to be the most commonly used and what is nice is when you need to sell/transfer from one account to another w/o the additional transfer charges (free push). Of course if you transfer out of GoDaddy then you will be charged a transfer fee but thats pretty much any of the registrars.

I prefer Name.com instead of godaddy. Just simply Name.com is cheaper and have privacy for every domain name.s
