Jouni's seedboxes

I'm pleased to offer you robust seedboxes for an affordable price. I'll be running 10 of the basic plans on a Quad-Core Xeon with 2 GB of RAM and 2x 500 GB hard disks (dedicated for this usage), so there's a limited number of slots available - for your best, I don't want to oversell. The server is located in the Netherlands on Ecatel's network. Seedboxes are based on (latest) rTorrent and wTorrent web interface - something that beats TorrentFlux and friends hands down. * Disk space is not hard limited, but I'll monitor it and kindly notice you if you're using more than supposed.

** Don't abuse the privilege - I'll kindly notice you if your process if eating a lot of resources compared to the others, like you're running 100 torrents at the same time. Don't be afraid though, I always try to be kind and face the problems softly.

*** Basically I guarantee you're always able to use 5 Mbit (of bandwidth) both in/out (at the same time) for example. On top of that you're able to use bandwidth up to your limit depending on the available free bandwidth (on the server and it's network interface). Incoming (download) bandwidth isn't limited at all (so whoever needs to download somethings, is able to do it fast) since I believe most of you focus on seeding (outgoing, upload bandwidth), but I'll still guarantee and monitor it.

What payment methods do you accept?
- I prefer Moneybookers, though PayPal is also possible.

How long does it take to setup my account?
- If I'm online it shouldn't take more than an hour to do, please understand that I've got to sleep and this is not my full-time job, so I can't be online 24/7

If I'm not happy with the seedbox or I want to quit, can I get refunded?
- I don't really like to refund just couple of weeks, so please make sure that you know what you're paying for - request a test account before your order if you aren't sure yet. Otherwise you're able to quit whenever you want to - contact me about it or refuse to pay the next month Technical problems are always possible, of course I'm trying to minimize and avoid them, but in case of a longer downtime (which might be caused by a factor I can do nothing about) or other loss I might think about a refund depending how bad the situation was.

Am I able to pay quarterly, semi-annually or even annually?
- Sure, I'll also give you a discount from 5% (quarterly) to 20% (annually). In this case I'll also refund you, for example you paid an annual and decided to quit on the 4th month.

Do I get any support if I need it?
- Of course you do, you're paying for the seedbox (service) and I've got to make sure you can take advance of it. Feel free to contact me anytime (general questions, problems, suggestions etc).

Is there any restrictions?
- Not really, everyone is able to use resources they're paying for and my job is to make sure the server (and service) is up and running as supposed (monitor the usage and performance, so everyone is able to enjoy their seedbox fairly without abuse from others). I don't care about what kind of torrents do you run and I'm not even interested in that nor other users are able to access your private information in any way, just remember that child porn is something I don't accept at all, but I suppose everyone already knows that and I doubt no-one has to torrent that kind of things.

Do you happen to have a website?
- No I don't, currently. Actually I've got a nice domain to use and skills to code it, but there's not much use for a website yet. You're able to contact me using private messages (why not regular posts for public questions), email or MSN - feel free to use any of those methods to ask details I haven't provided in this topic.

Why do you do this?
- I've always been into managing servers and watching the bits and bytes flow on a network infrastructure, but it took a while to give a go on that hobby, as I should call it though I'm pretty sure I'll be my future as well since it's my strongest interest, why not to continue with it?

Guys, If you take a test account, be prepared to either give a positive or negative iTrader. Its not really fair on the user selling seedboxes.

 

I've been a customer of Jouni's seedbox for nearly a week now. Seedbox setup fast and working great. The speeds, customer service and the server stability are great. Well recommended.

can i make torrents to upload with rtorrent or wtorrent can i have a test account to play with very interested not spam

I have a couple of seedboxes from diffrent people and all I can say is they have lost my custom. This seedbox is the best I have ever tried great speeds up and down.

If anyone is thinking of renting one this is the one for you...

 

Well, I told you I would leave a review and I must say. Rtorrent is pretty nice. Though it does sort of have some down sides, I never was able to find where to make a torrent. But over all, Easy to download torrents to and from the seedbox. Nice speeds although you can't really determine speeds on a seedbox it all depends on the torrent and if it's from a nice private tracker or from a public one full of peers with little seeds.

Over all, Nice seedboxes Jouni, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a nice seedbox for downloading this is for you.

 

Anyone who doubts Jouni's service, please don't doubt it. The speed is excellent, usability is excellent. wTorrent is really user friendly and easy to use. Jouni is also helpful, and has an awesome attitude. I don't think you'll be unsatisfied if you purchase a seedbox.

 

Let me thank all of you for the tests you've done and the reviews you've left both public and private - they really helped me to see how the server acts under a proper load and do adjustments to improve performance and stability.

Unfortunately wTorrent doesn't support creating torrents yet, so you'll need to create them on your computer using uTorrent for example. As a new offer I can also provide a TorrentFlux setup with an admin account for advanced users on request - you can set up your own RSS feeds with filters and have the latest torrents you're interested in automatically downloaded (and started) from your private trackers, for example.

 

Do NOT, under any circumstances, leave iTrader from a test account. Doing so constitutes iTrader abuse here. No iTrader is allowed to be exchanged for a deal $5 or under, and that includes test accounts, review copies, etc.
