I'm waiting a few months before installing Chrome, if Google are serious about the new browser it will most probably outshine every browser on the market. They have still a long way to go, but it's just a beta for now.
I'm seeing a growing pattern from my own site. But this is just for Chrome sites and not the overall geek / tech market. Just posted an article this morning Google Encroaching on Firefox.
The number of results in SERPS is a terrible terrible terrible way to measure somethings popularity. Your method is also flawed, you didn't quote "google chrome" so you are gonna end up getting results for chrome tire rims etc.
Chrome is becoming my one of the favorite browser. But Still, for many "MUST NEED" features, it can't be my default browser. Firefox still rocks!
I think chrome will offer a bunch of plugins eventually but for the time being I am staying with FireFox.
chrome at current is nothing to jump with joy about, yes it dosent have as many problems with pages as IE 8 currently does, and yes its fast and affective but in no way is it yet on par with FF, IE or other popular browsers
Yeah but Google owns chrome, therefore it is possible that they held some results back from Firefox, and indexed more sites with Google chrome results.
Just out of curiosity, do you think that maybe Google searches for Google Chrome are a little bit biased? If they control the searches, and they are trying to push a product do you think that maybe that product gets pushed to the top of the searches? I don't think Google is exactly fair to direct competition.
And when they will put their "alexa" toolbar, you'll get a much accurate "alexa" ranking since alexa is only popular in asia in general and India in Particular. Alexa is dying a little bit everyday that Chrome is growing...
just because you get more results, doesn't mean it's more popular http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp maybe ppl are complaining about it because it sucks?
but i still use firefox i'm lazy to install chrome, because, why? What is the reason? It's satisfied enough just to use firefox. Well, but all is provide by google so maybe for google is OK
May be, chrome gets more back up from the big G but it is too early to tell chrome is going to overtake the more popular FF
it seems as if google has hindered the growth of Chrome. they don't even offer it as a download on the front page anymore.
