Will Domain name transfer affect PR/SERP rankings?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by munnakv, Sep 25, 2008.

My domain indianjobtalks.com is currently registered with network solutions.
I am planning to transfer the domain to a different registrar.
My hosting is from siteground and will remain the same.

    Will the transfer affect
    1) SERP ranking
    2) google index
    3) DNS server information

I am mainly concerned if my PR will get affected due to the change.

    Regards

No it should not affect , transfer to domain registrar like namecheap is seamless.

But you should check DNS settings.

    Thanks its_career.

    @ keym4k3r
Will the DNS setting change if I change my registrar?
My host will anyway remain the same. Thanks for your time.

It should not make any difference.

it should not have an affect on your SERP ranking and pages indexed in google.

But you should check DNS servers by logging into your new registrar account once this transfer process is over and confirm that they are set to site ground else it can cause you site downtime.

Some registrars change nameserver to they own after the transfer,so the domain is parked,
some keep the old nameserver settings.
as Subhani said check DNS before transfer and confirm it in the new one.
