I've tried many different affiliate programs, adsense, ypn, but I'm barley making any money from the site. Adsense I'd make 5-10 a day... but I'm sure with an affiliate program I could make more.. but so far nothing.. The site is based on Lineage 2, the online game, it's a blog.. any suggestions?
Is that game totally free? Or is it like Second Life where you can sell stuff? The Adsense earnings don't sound that bad, considering the topic. Unless you could sell strategy guides to the game, or setup some marketplace for gamers, I can't think of anything better. I bet you have tried affiliate programs for other video games and accessories, which probably didn't do anything. You could try some CPA campaigns. I have seen a few that have little surveys about new video games and systems which are paid on email submit. (The site visitor doesn't have to spend any money, which is good for a site like this.) And possibly try ValueClick for CPM ads. Although Adsense might beat that. So I'd mix in some CPA ads and see if they perform better than Adsense. If not, stick with Adsense, and work on getting more traffic.

what type of site is it? If it is a entertainment type site cpalead or zango gateway might work well.
It's about Lineage 2, the MMORPG I just added a bunch of iphone zip offers on it, let's see what happens.
That's a tough one for affiliate programs. Most people aren't coming to the site to buy something, I assume - they're looking for tips or cheats or whatever. So, maybe link through Amazon to some strategy guides... If not, then I'm not sure what to tell you, other than build up traffic as much as you can. If you're getting $0.005 per visitor, and can't get more, then get more visitors! One other option is to get your domain for Lineage 3 and start building the site (according to Wikipedia it comes out in 2011). Build the site now and get the #1 ranking while there aren't any competitors! Just my two cents. Good luck!
Hi, I think the most important thing is patient and persistency if you want success. Adsense is good but need lots of contents ,real contents,good content and useful. If you can build hundreds or thousand page would be good. try some CPM companies - see this list and choose something worth attention for You. I can recommend the first one from the list, it pays up to 1.80$ per 1000 of unique impressions of their popup ( UK/US traffic, other countries = lower rates ) so if You have mostly UK/Us traffic You could earn only from one company 1.80$/day and that's additionally 54$/month . And if combined it with another CPM company which will display inpage banner on Your site You should propably earn up to 70-80$/month additionally
With a video game website?? You could make millions with 2 visitors per day if you have the right topic, but comparing a mmorpg site to something else (like freecreditreport.com for example) doesn't really help the OP.
I also have a website about a videogame with similar visitor numbers. (~1500/day) I monetize it with CPM programs (popunder, skyscrapper and 728*90 ad), sell text links, and use an in-text-ads program too, i use CJ and Play-Asia to find some affiliate products suitable for the niche aswell. You could also check CJ for Lineage 2 merchandise stuff. Create a section about merchandising on your site and put up all offers you can find. With some SEO work, you can get direct SE traffic plus your mainsite visitors and probably a few sales.
