Is there new way to do promotion for your website besides; link building, article submissions, directory sub, social media, bookmarking.?

Press Releases are another good one. There are site's around the web that will post your PR's.

Also, social networking may work if you have the right product. For example, starting a myspace/facebook/hi5/friendster/yahoo/google/orkut group "sponsored" by your site (has worked very well with the myspace poker forum I started).

Creating howto and helpful YouTube videos with your site included (social media I guess?)

 

1. Become an active member of some good quality forums and place link in signature.

2. Genuine comments posting in high quality blogs.

haha this one is a great place to start with the quality forums, if you are based in the UK then ukbusiness forums. what ever country your in there are forums set up just for businesses try them.

 

I think that for SEO you need to do also lots of work for your web site content optimization. -
