Newbie to this all..

Hello all,

Alright, so I'm new to this, and I have to say, I'm a little overwhelmed. I tried getting into this back in January but that was the main reason I was so put off.. there's just so much to take in. Can anyone lay it down for me.. tell me exactly how money is made online? Set me off on my first footsteps? If you can get me earning money I'll help you in the future.

Selling a product
Selling advertising space on a blog or other site, either through a program like adsense or directly by selling space to advertisers
Selling a product or service through an affiliate scheme, whereby you promote the product for a company/site and they pay you a percentage for every sale or lead you get for them.

It seems to come down to being able to sell, pretty much.

 

imo, you make it by selling something. Unless you are a search engine or selling Classifieds, advertising pays less than $1 CPM.

 

first of all, welcome...and congrats! My congrats to you as you are in the right place from the beginning! Lots of people wish they found this place before they lost some money Use forum's search option to find topics of your interest as lots of things have been discussed here before. Here are some highlights for successful start

- making money online is NOT easy

- you have to find your niche

- get basic seo skills

- read DP

 

a lot of potencial earning money from internet can u try.. choose what kind of topic that u interested and focus on it until u get your first 1$.. then put more effort to get 10$ and so on.. focus on something that u do is important.. tried to find your mentor tht can guide u..

 

I see..well I'm into computers and such but I'm not sure I could write consistently about it without first getting the info elsewhere..

Well, to make money on the net is not so hard if you have a knowledge base and you apply it to your business.

My advices:

- stop to purchase everything what you face with daily
- collect that knowledge what you need freely here
- search for threads what you are interested in
- if yo don't find something yourself, ask here, members help
- when you feel you have a knowledge to start then make a decision and a plan (side note: many people fail because of distractions, a lack of a plan, lack of patience and perseverance)
- when the plan is up you need to take action according to your plan
- stick yourself to your plan until you see some result
- make some small changes to evolve your business, if necessary
- exercise yourself on those steps which caused the result
- if the process is on its' way you can start another income method

This is simple process and works.

the key to "this" as people call it is "MARKETING" YOU MUST UNDERSTAND MARKETING

it really doesn't matter the product or service. Cause there are absolute crap sites with poor service and bad products making money. But they know marketing.

Its starts with knowing human behavior online. Trends like people usually wont buy something untill they have seen it 7 times. So a good key to start with is creating a brand. The best way to do this is join an already popular brand.

blogging
video marketing
free promotion giveaways

then it all is just a fun game of cat and mouse after that.

it is kind of like picking up a chick you are most of the time not going to take her home the first night it takes a few meetings to make the sale. "unless your a true player and can pull it down the first night" but it takes skill and natural talent

Have you purchased a bunch of products that tell you how to do things? If so, take the time to sit down and at least read them quickly and see which ones "click" for you. Do any of them stand out that make you think, "I can do that..." You know it when you've got a "guide" in your hand and you feel like the author is thinking like you are or that you can think like he/she does.

Start there and then add on as you go. First decide what avenue you want to earn money through....affiliate, adsense, selling your own product, etc. What appeals to you the most? Then look for information on that one thing. If you spend the time to determine that, you will save yourself some grief from not being focused.

Find something you are interested in,
make sure there is a big make for it,
make sure the market want to spend money,
find a product,
you can market as an affiliate using free web 2.0 properties like Squidoo, Wordpress or get a website and drive traffic to it.

It is not easy and there is work involved, but if you put in the work, learn from this forum and the Warrior Forum you will be fine. Please be careful of information overload.

 

to make money online, you should become a specialist. What is your passion? what are you good at? figure that out, and then, focus on that niche

 

You should get a ebook or book and learn from that. Also, dont do the lazy programs.

I understand what you mean by being interested in whet you sell, but there are MANY MANY people that sell stuff they have no interest in, but there's a market for it

 

I want to raise five points here

1. Don't put it off. Start now that Web 2.0 is just evolving. If you keep putting things off, then you'll get nowhere.
2. No one will spoonfeed things to you. You should learn it yourself unless you want to be caught in the midst of all the marketing hype people are using to take advantage of you newbies. The online world is a continuous learning zone. Take advantage of it.
3. You have to know that everything is a network. You have to get yourself inside first. The reason you feel overwhelmed is because you are on the outside at the moment. Get inside the world by building networks and you can watch and learn from other people's experiences as they unfold.
4. Find your place. Sooner or later you'll see which areas you belong in. This is where you start meeting people who are having the same experiences like you do. This is your niche.
5. Grab free ebooks, seminars, and articles. The internet has a mountain of freebies. Take advantage of it.

im new to Im myself and there is so much to learn, stay focused and dont give up

 

reg a few domains and bust your arse off building up original content along with link building. Soon you will be making money. Oh ya you need a website also. LOL
