Hi everybody. I'm new to this forum and here is my first contribution. Hope someone will benefit from it. Here is the link where you can register .com, .net, .info, .biz, .us for $1.99 for the first year at yahoo. Offer is valid till end of the year. http://order.sbs.yahoo.com/ds/DomainSearchResults?d=&m=dom&.src=sbs&.p=YD1&.promo=BESTDEAL P.S. Since I'm new here the link above will not be clickable. if you come across such unclickable URLs a lot then check this tool which can open such URLs with just one click: http://clickcutter.com ClickCutter
Be warned about yahoo though, they go up to 34.99 after the first year. I switched to GoDaddy, and $10 a year is not that much...
How about if i register them at $1.99 on the 1st year, then i transfer out to renew? Is this possible?
absolutely. Just make sure you transfer 1 month before because they will bill you 2 weeks prior expiry date so you need to give yoraself some time to transfer somewhere else. Click Cutter
Yahoo is a reseller that uses Melbourne IT from Australia. They will try and get you for $34.99 after the first year and to transfer one domain it took me 10 days after I processed everything one time. Their customer service is terrible!!!! $1.99 is a great deal indeed but just be aware that they are not very good when it comes to managing their domain reseller business.
Just make sure you if you decide to transfer out that you do at least 2 weeks before expiry as Yahoo somethings make the transfer a slow process and that is after you work out how to actually start it there.
Correction. 1 month before expiry not 2 weeks! Read my post above. ------------------------------ Click Cutter Save yourself 352 mouse clicks a day clickcutter.com
This is going to cost you more in the long run. After that 1st year then it's $35 per year after that. And if you transfer your domain to someplace else, it'll be around $20 for the processing fees. I wouldn't recommend it.
what you must do on yahoo is register for 1st year and transfer domain to godaddy that is how it will save you money.
This is a good deal, I like buying 12-25 .info domains for setting up blog farms for SEO links, $1.99 per year is a great price fusionxls78
This is a good deal if the registrar provides good renewal rates or is good with allowing and doing transfers. Godaddy in my opinion is the best domain registrar (or one of them) and transfering out is easy and done in reasonable amount of time.
abercrombie What $20 processing fees are you talking about? Can you exactly point where did you find this info please? I never heard about such fees. Click Cutter clickcutter.com
Yahoo should stick to email and try to improve their search engine. Even Google is not involving too much in the domain world.
Wow, I wasn't aware of the high cost of it after the first year and I have a couple of domains sitting on Yahoo's lap. I'd better check the expiry and transfer before the automatic renewal.
To check expiry date on your domain you check whois or login to your yahoo domain account and in the Billing section you will see next billing date. usually it'15 days before expiry date. -------------------------- Forget right or left click when doing Copy or Paste.
