Yeah, I was wondering on that. I assume most folks are referring to hosting WP on your own domain. But wouldn't bloggers ranking be better than your own hosted WP domain?

Definitely wordpress is much more better. We have more control over it compared to blogger and it is for more sophisticated blogger.

WP for me. You can customize add add onto it to your hearts content. So if you ever want to include a new section like say a link directory then no problem. With blogger you can;t really extend your site, unless you host it on your own servers - which means republishing your blog every time.

Blogger is free, meaning you don't even have to buy hosting and have a blog but if you want a real deal I suggest you spend $12 on cheap hosting and a domain name, make your own theme and there you go you got yourself a real blog.

Self hosted wordpress is the best. Better functionality etc
For quick indexing, go blog spot. it is owned by google.

Blogspot does have other features wordpress doesn't. Ill try to find these out and post them back here.

But i would definitely say go Self hosted wordpress.

To get adsence into a wordpress blog - you can edit the index file or you can use an adsense plug-in like "All in One Adsense and YPN."

I use both blogger and wordpress. If you are just writing posts with good content regularly - I think Blogger is great. It seems to be easy for my readers to access and get right to the post.

If you need to be creative with the format and the content you are creating for that individual look - wordpress gives you greater flexibility. Althought, I find it more confusing to get the format the way I want it...

Right now I make more money from adsense and Chitika on Blogger than I do on wordpress.

Check out my blog, I am quite a fan of my own theme which comes 125x125, adsense, and 468x60 ready. There is a page to download the theme.
