Hello all - I am in the process of recruiting businesses for my new gift card site, and wanted your opinions on what I can do to increase conversions. In a nutshell, I am trying to persuade businesses to purchase a listing on my site, where local residents will be able to purchase gift cards from them. If you have experience with landing page optimization, or just see something that doesn't look or seem right, please post your input. Your help is greatly appreciated...
Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to last week's challenge. About 85 percent of you did not correctly identify the offending variable in the case study. Seventy percent thought it was one of the many variables they noticed between Test A and Test B. Here's a list of all the variables visible on the page: 1. Closed space between top "Proceed to Checkout" button line and next line. 2. Removed top "Continue Shopping" button. 3. Removed "Update" button underneath the quantity box. 4. Moved "Total" box down a line. Text and amount appear in different boxes. 5. Above the "Total" box is a "Discount" box, with amount in a box next to it. 6. Above "Shipping Method" line is "Enter Coupon Code" with a box to enter it. 7. New "Recalculate" button left of "Continue Shopping." 8. Bottom tool bar now on two lines. 9. Shopping cart icon one space closer to the words "Shopping Cart." For More Information: www.invesp.com/conversion-optimization-research/the-landing-page-optimization-handbook.html
This thread is little. confusing. What is dr.gabemirkin is saying. What challenge? For site review, First remove the "Yahoo Geocities" favicon . The moving bullet in the menu is too big. rest is good for a sales page.
I have no idea what that dr.gabemirkin post is about...must be some good crack. Thank you Ecreation for your input - I will take it into consideration
The site is not bad but there is plenty of room for improvement. - Like Ecreation said you should remove the yahoo favicon. - Get a professional logo. - The "E-mail us:" does not look professional displaying your email address on the page you should make a link out of the text without displaying your email address. -
Thanks for the suggestions guys - I appreciate the input. If anyone else sees anything, please put your 2 cents in
It is in the 3rd post - but HERE it is anyway. Let me know if you have any suggestions that may help increase conversions.
I think too much blank spaces are there, like gaps. Therefore, one has to scroll every page to see it all, which is annoying. You need not to cramp the navigation yet try to make it compact. For example, on Home page, under 'Question or comment?' the grey shaded area is bit too occupying in comparision to the main body portion, which is turn is devoid of any fill.
