Do not click your own google ads!
In case you didnt hear it....DONT CLICK YOUR ADS!!!!

Most newbies think you can get away and trick google. By going to the library, going to friends houses and clicking, asking friends to click your ads, and trying to click through proxies...Google has a superior tracking system that will catch you no matter how good you are, and how carefull you think you are.

You will be banned and any legit clicks you did have will never be paid to you, so your only hurting yourself in the long run for what? Less than a buck? Not worth it.

If you do get banned you can always go the LLC route, but I dont suggest it unless your making $XXXX or more per month.

    So stop clicking your ads!!

    Good post.

It only hurts the genuine people in the long run too.

nice suggestion for absolute newbie. I would recomend the same. by clicking your own ads you'll get what paid in cents and most of the times not even that. so its just not worth it. Try to get more quality content and backlinks to your site and try to get into the oragnic listings for the keyword.

this will bring you more money.

I agree, don't click your ads from home, but it's not possible for them to tell that I clicked it from a completely different source.

If I went to London (I live in Canada), and went to my grandparents house, who have never visited my site before, and click an ad, Google would NEVER know. It's impossible for them to know. If you think they would know, please explain it to me.

Very correct....Whilst I do not condone clicking on your own ads, its not right to give incorrect information to the new members. Its not like Google has some tracking device installed on your body, that it can trace your movements and actions.

I can click my ads from my local library (but I do not condone it) and Google will never know. I can use proxies to click ads and the only thing Google can tell is that the click originated from a proxy, nothing more. (Again I do not condone this action)

Whilst you gave useful information, please do not give out false impressions with it too....

One click will do no harm but repeated clicks from the same IP will be suspicious...

It is not about one click! He is talking about repeated clicks and you will definitely have a pattern.

In that case, yes. But this should not happen in the first place. Clicking your own ads is like stealing the hard earned money from the advertisers. Its unethical and one of the lowest human behavior. I completely agree with the OP on this context. Hard work and honesty will reward you far better than cheating your way to earn a few bucks. Thanks for the info, its useful for experienced webmasters too.... :)

If newbies think they can fool google and click on their own links, those newbies deserve to get banned and just die, you can't get dumber than that lol

Correct, Im talking about multiple clicks, if there is a pattern google will find it, even if its just a hint of a pattern....
And I know this seems like common sense but I see it all the time in here and other forums....

If you go to a friends house and click adds, google has no way of telling it's you unless you login to a service provided by google.

Not saying you should click your own ads, just saying that your statement was false.
