Hey I'm just wondering what backlink checkers you guys use. I see posts about people knowing exactly how many backlinks their domain has and even to specific pages of theirs.

I tried iwebtools one but it really doesn't work for me, only says I have 2 backlinks which is wrong.

    Thanks!

Just use Google webmaster tools. All you need to do is create a google account.

    Friend,

Google will not show you all the back links but we can use only Yahoo site explorer and some other back link checker if you wish.

google will add some back links for your site if Google find Dofollow and quality back links.

you can see also external links in google webmaster tool.

    You could try using backlinkwatch.com
It will list down each and every one of links currently pointing to your site.

    I'm just very confused.

I sign in and go to webmasters tools and click "links" then "Pages with external links" and it shows zero, a big goose egg.

    Am I doing something wrong?

No nothing wrong all you need is to wait a little bit.
Google Webmaster tools, needs more time to update it's results usually between 2 to 4 weeks, however you can check the last update date at the bottom of the page.
