    The Death of SEO..... Keep thinking that ;-) I should write an eBook with that title.

    SEO is alive and very well. It has just grown into a more complex process. Now it is about building great website, generating fresh streams of links, and social marketing as well. WEB 2.0 adds more complexity.

    As long as there are search engines (SE), then search engine optimization (SEO) for those search engines will be a relevant activity.

    How could it not be important, unless you prefer an unoptimized site to an optimized one? :confused:

    P.S. I'm talking about doing your own optimization, not about hiring SEO to be done for you, which is a roll of the dice if you don't know the SEO "professional" and his/her historical results very well.

    Thought so. How can someone make a claim without a basis? You can't ask "Is SEO dead?" if you don't have situations showing it is dead. This thread drove me nuts.

    And it's a good spam area too.
