Hey folks, any idea how I can parse RSS within a blog post (not to create blog posts). for example, take a look at this page: http://onlinemusictickets.com/09/oasis-tickets/ you will see that there is a feed for oasis tickets, that is using a widgetbox widget. Well, I want to take that "inhouse" if you like, and not be reliant on the widget box service. any feedback much appreciated! MOG
Try using the Exec-PHP plugin (which enables you to use PHP within posts), along with the lastRSS rss parser. I use it on lots of sites to pull in eBay feeds. It takes about half an hour to get your head around, but works like a charm, and is very easy to tweak to suit your site. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exec-php/ http://lastrss.oslab.net/
an update to this thread. the firstRSS plugin works really nicely, and is very configurable. Plus you dont need to activate code on the blog posts as well which is a benefit. so, if you are looking to do a similar thing check out the plugin at this site: http://www.underjc.com/2007/10/firstrss-plugin-for-wordpress.html
