    We got five domain purchases over the past 1.5 weeks and two more $49/month advertiser subscriptions. It's definitely still very profitable and we'll have screenshots later.

    Also, the Alexa (3-month) rank has increased to 80,698.

    The $12,500 bidder was unable to follow through with payment. Hence, it is now up for grabs...again. (Sigh)

    A few people (2 or 3) seem to have expressed interest in the $12,500 BIN, although EI-SD above just backed out because he didn't like the fact that 90%+ of DP's traffic was organic. I'm trying to contact the others to re-confirm their commitment.

    No, my problem was the 99% direct traffic, and the other 1% was search and referral traffic.

    I think that $1.65 billion for youtube.com is way too much, considering that the site, as of Google's last quarterly report, still generates negligible profits.

    Remember that the value of a site is determined by what buyers are willing to pay. There are several people who are interested in buying this site in the five-figure range, and I did not artificially drive the price to this level.
