Risk of receiving payments from Unverified buyers?

Is there any risk if I am going to received a payment from a PayPal Unverified buyer?

 

I don't think so. I am doing business there I have to receive money from many customers. I cannot expect everyone is verified customer. Any experienced paypal users can answer please.

 

i think its better to know abt cc payment and paypal based payment

even verified means they might have using vcc

Because lots of people use VCC to verify PayPal Account

You can know if u use personal account...Because personal account can't receive the money from CC

 

Well, it is a bit more secure to receive the money from a verified account, since the verification process has screened out many scammers.

if you accepting from your personal pp id then it asks first to accept the cc payments so you can accept or reject but in premiere account it will be automatic approval

 

I have only Premiere account and this is the first time I received a payment from Unverified buyer.

 

you ca have personal account and premiere account without any problem

so personal account you can create now

 

if ur account is unverified i suggest verify it before paypal limit you!
if the sender account is unverified and u want to recieve amount higher than $50 his account will be go to LIMIT and ur money will Go To HOLD..if he doesnt verify his acc u will never recieve the amount and in some cases paypal limit the sender and the reciever accounts

Unverified typically means that there is no way to determine if the one who is paying you is who he claims to be. There is a higher possibility that he would have used a stolen credit card or illegal obtained money to pay you or it could just mean that he is waiting to get his account verified.

It depends on what your risk level is. Personally, I would not bother with unverified accounts and refund the money. Had too much trouble with them anyways.

 

This is scary but I have already done my service for him. I'm just hoping this would not cause trouble.

 

The main risk is they can send payments through their unverified accounts, chargeback you and close their account open a new account. This is what scammers do.

 

IMO, there's no risk in receiving payment from a unverified customer.
They can't even make a chargeback...

 

they actually can do a chargeback because the bank is the one who offer that option to their card holders. It is not something which paypal offers its members. So in short, whether your account verified or not, it does not make a difference as to whether they have the option to chargeback.
