    I'm thinking of creating a photoblog on pictures of animals to earn an income from adsense. Can someone please tell me where they think the best place to put the ads on blogger is?

    Put your best ones in the middle of the page, right in front of their face, and start halfway down, going down the page.

    For now, I think you should focus on driving traffic before you can think of optimizing your ads. Blending is the key. My experience is large rectangular ads, nicely blended with contents and on the left hand side of the content is the best money maker.

    That niche is hard to monetize. Especially if you just put pictures.

    you should use stumbleupon to get traffic. photo and video sites are easy to earn thumb up there and become viral.
