Just wondering.. 1. If a visitor clicks on an ad and then, without waiting till it's loaded, he clicks on another ad and then another etc.. will all the clicks be considered? 2. If a visitor clicks on ad and then returns and clicks on another ad - will this be considered as two pageviews or just one? 3. are you paid anything when a visitor clicks on link unit, or only when he clicks on ads in the page after that? I know this sounds like newbie questions, I just lack some basic stuff sometimes thanks
yeah I thought so too, what do you mean by depends on time though? people are usually clicking fast.. it can take less than a second.
Of course. A click is a click is a click. Depends on how your browser is set up. Sometimes a brower won't refresh if you click the back button, thus it's just one impression. This is how some publishers can get 1 impression and 4 clicks. It takes two clicks to earn from the adlinks. The first click displays the "results" page, and the click after that counts as a paid click.
I have sometimes seen more clicks than impressions. I think normally the browser does not refresh when clicking the back button. What I wonder then is what if someone clicks on an ad, hits the back button, then clicks on the same ad again. I hope the poor advertiser doesn't have to pay twice!
Hey jim when googles media bot parses and clicks the ad at a 9 percent maximum fradulent setting does it wait for the page to load?
ok, then another question.. how the heck can you sometimes see clicks without impressions? it happened to me sometimes.. may be it was a page in msn/google cache, but still that should be an impression I think..
Confidentially... when I find ads that interest me I click in as many as I want to learn more, but I never do it directly, but pressing SHIFT+ mouse click on the links. this way I can open as many of those that interest me and without leaving the site which I¡m originally visiting.
I don't follow. Why would Google's emdia bot click the ads? And what does it mean to click the ad at a 9% maximum fraudulent setting?
Now that I've never seen. It would be nice if started making money on sites that no one visits though....
bots from reputed sites do not click .. as the code is javascript based. I dunno if there are bots which tries to get the pages linked thru JS.. and that cud land u in trouble ...
I never realized that, so our account could get banned from a bot clicking our google ads... Not good
Basically if a visitor comes to your site and clicks an ad you will not get credit until he spends some time say, 10-20 seconds. I don't know the exact time requirement but if the visitor just closes that window before this time period you will not get any credit.
Most likely a click from a translated page or a page that was viewed from Google's cache. Furthermore, I believe that for a click to be counted now, it has to be on the actual url or site name, not just in the adblock near the ad description as was previously the case.
