depends of what IM you use, for example in yahoo messenger you can easyly find out typeing in command prompt: netstat
yes i use yahoo messenger, and I used that comand from run, netstat, and it dosen`t work all the time...
if he is talking from invisible mode you cant see the ip, or of he uses webmessenger.yahoo(dot_com try to catch him online, and send him/her a photo/mp3. or send ur webcam to him, then type the command, in cmd there is no way for him to escape, josh
The idea josh gaves works, Just show some activities and use netstat command it will show all inbound and outbound connections
Thats creepy and invasion of privacy. You should only do it if you are trying to catch someone in the act of being a scammer etc..
yes, this was the ideea. I need to find out if someone is a scammer or not. i met this guy who said he is from uk, and he wants to sell me somthing, and i belive he is a scammer.
yes type in netstat while talking to him in pm then look the adress with yahoo.com it should also have a port at the end of the adress now type in tracert theyahoo.com dcn adress and it should bring up his ip
its possible to make a program that will send a conference request to your friend and grab the IP from Yahoo's server for you and show it to you.... but this kind of programs are very time consuming and lots of work needed.... and so nobody will waste there time trying to make a program like this...
