I was browsing DP lately and stumbled this one thread where the OP is posting some affiliate link masked with tinyURL on his thread. So as a HELP to the MODrator here in DP I reported the thread and posted a reply on the thread saying things like "Please read the BST Rules". And the guy or let me say THE KID was reacted childishly saying like "Get a life dude!" And then THE KID gave me a negative rep saying "Being a Retard". Well I am ok with it coz that's life, you can't please everybody. Whew why do some people here get so piss off if they are TOLD to READ SOME DP RULES? Or maybe the KID was just insulted by me saying that he was here since January but still he didn't find time to read the BST Rules... Now here is my question to you guys: Do you get MAD if someone TELLS you to read some DP Rules? DO YOU?
I would feel embarrassed and would try to get a mod to remove the thread. To feel angry instead is a weird reaction especially he had done something wrong. Being told about it, he should feel at least some guiltiness rather than red rep you in return.
Well there was no point to give a Negative reputation. Everyone should realize their our mistakes. If someone reminds us about the surroundings then we must take it positively. We should take it optimistically and correct ourselves Every place has its own rules and regulations and we must follow them. Bhuntay
No I don't get mad. If I've broken the rules (not that I have done in months) its either by mistake, or for a decent reason. I know the rules well enough and report all posts that don't follow them. If I told someone to read the rules, they should be glad. It may give them enough time to edit their post or whatever before a mod comes to clean up.
i wouldn't get angry either, i've been here long enough to have broken most of the rules, and i have. and i know what the rules are so i don't break them. i even avoid posting so i don't break any rules. if i'm dissatisfied with someones post or thread, i have other ways of getting my message across.
I wouldn't get mad. I would , instead, thank the person for helping me. You see, its many a times useful. Maybe you have posted something in the wrong section, or used some harsh words, or have made a typing error, then these tips are very useful.... These can help you avoid getting an infraction, or a negative rep.
He's probs embarrassed at the fact that he's having to spam in order to make a buck, the only way to big himself back up is to say something stupid.
Well, I don't get mad, I do read the rules, so nobody tells me so. But if anybody does, I tell him 'OK, Thx'
yeah at times when we stick to the rulz and some smart ass comes along and tell you to read them then it sure pisses u alot

I would not get mad because chances are, I would not know about the rules. There are so many stickies that many new members do not see them. However, chances are by his reaction, he knew the rules and was trying to get some hits before he was caught.
i would get mad for a min. not long enuff for me to post anything though id feel dumb more than get mad. and immature ppl annoy the crap out of me >.<
Maybe this kind of people don't want to read the rules after all, that's why they got so annoyed when others tell them to do so. Frankly speaking, if somebody would tell me the same thing, I would just take it in a stride and accept it.
I wouldn't be mad if someone told me to read the rules. I would just go on and remember not to do whatever I must've done.
