Is it just me, or have the prices for .com domains risen from $5.99 to $7.99.

Just did a search for a new domain, and it was $7.99

I know it's only $2, gonna buy it anyway, just curious :p

They have increased the prices from Sep. 12 onwards.

However you can still use the coupon code XUP599 to register new domains for $5.99

By the way guys, what are your opinions about Name registrar? I have never dealt with them. I have domains with Namecheap and Godaddy only!

Personally I think they are very good. Reasonable prices and it's a very easy process. The domains are easier to manager than godaddy in my opinion. I personally started using it as I only have an unverified paypal account, but now I use it whenever I want a domain :)

You see, even that $7.99 is cheaper than the first year on godaddy, and (in my opinion) name.com is better than godaddy anyway :D

With coupon codes, godaddy is $7 every year.

With 100s of domains, that does make a difference.

Depends if you want private whois, which is incredibly expensive on godaddy!

before name.com rise the price, it is very cheap.

you can get .com domain at $6.85 for all years.

I think name.com is still a good deal considering you also get free whois privacy - I think you have to but at least 5 domains at at time with Godaddy to get free privacy otherwise it's 8.99 each
