Base on my own statistic , it seems text ads pay more than image ad.. my highest for text ads was around 0.7 per click while image ad pay me highest up to 0.2 only what u guys think? but of course image ad had more clicks as they are more easily to be click + they are more attractive.
Yes...Image ad can give low CTR compare to text ads because of image link can show looks good...visitors attracts it and click on it...that's why...I am not sure but I think it is the reason...what you think?
Through my own experience with the Google adsense Imgae ads pay low as compared to the text ads and thats the reason that I prefer text ads over image ads Regards Tehmina
Well said, users click to text ads more, coz text ads doesn't seem to be an ads actually. Also prices will depend, they are the same I think.
Based also on my experience in blogging, I also get more clicks from using text ads. For me, it's really more effective to earn money using them.
Google seems to think text are better, since that is usually the default when you let them select the highest yielding ads.
Text ads make more than image ads, this is from my experience, AdSense guys have posted on AdSense blog some article with the title looking like : an image does not necessarly says a thousand word. Today I turned most of my units into text units because some image ads were even hanging the browser !!

sometimes the image ads look 'classier' on my site as they are high profile advertisers. but the text ads are better.
the cpm for image ads are more .but yeah the ctr is very less for image ads as far as ctr is concerned , link ads are the best [ for my celebrity blog ] . not sure about other niches .
