I have a page with unique content that I want indexed by Google. I also have content on that same page that I "Don't" want Google to index. If I put a link to the content page in an IFrame so it shows up on my site will Google overlook it? This would be great if I could get Google not to look at duplicate content that is from an affiliate, but at the same time having my unique content for that page to get indexed. Please help Thanks for your time,
I see - I'm not sure how smart Google is. I know they generally don't crawl I-frame's, they certainly don't count the content within the I-frame to be part of your site. But what worries me is if Google see's a large portion of your website is an iframe it might conclude you are offering very little content of your own. I think you should try Experimentation is how you build up your knowledge. Too many people here on DP go around regurgitating the advice they think they should be giving without having experimented and found out for themselves.
I understand that the purpose of cloaking is to deceive search engines so they display the page when it would not otherwise be displayed. The page is going to be displayed no matter what because I have unique content on there. I don't want to get a decrease in my site because of affiliate content. I thought I would just make an Iframe so all Google sees is my unique content. I'm not sure if this really qualifies as black hat SEO. Any ideas?
I'd host the frame on a sub-domain and then in the htaccess file just make a robots.txt file and the just write files you don't want indexing. Disallow: /frame1.php Disallow: /frame2.php Disallow: /frame3.php I think that would work anyway your better doing a Google search just to make sure.
may ve harmful your site. i-frame and spamming content. you can write in new page and use no-index that new page. if you want to show main page than use as include fie that is used on index meta tags. may be. i'm not sure.
