Hi, I am setting up a non-english website for my friend. I use wordpress and when I tried creating a new post and I copy pasted the non-english characters in title and post field and it showed perfectly there. when I clicked save everything changed to question mark symbols (?). anybody have idea, how to fix this issue?
I'm guessing you need to alter the database character set in wp-config.php to match your database. This article may help.
why you just pasting non english characters in the first place? why not convert default language of wordpress to the one you wanna use.. there are manyyy.. manyy translations of wordpress available..
try "utf8_general_ci" char set for your db. http://codex.wordpress.org/Converting_Database_Character_Sets
