Hello... I have my personal site which is ranked #1 in all the search engines now.. It has just got PR3,but im ranked TOP of all for all of my keywords... Well,its a Web Development Related Website and since its ranked high and all of its new pages are also indexed in no time,so i want to start a TECH BLOG at a sub folder at my that domain... Say, www.domain.com/blog So is that a good idea??? And see my main site's title is completely based on Web Development and its ranked. So if i now start this new Tech Blog at a sub folder,so i have to have to a completely TECH RELATED Title for it.. SO is it going to affect my rankings in Search Engines for my main site??? I just dont want to lose my site position at any any cost... Kindly suggest me the best ways....
do not use a subdomain as it becomes an entirely new website .... its bettr you use domain/techblog it will help you gaining pagerank in you tech blog as well
I will suggest you to do a lot of directory submissions manually and write good content on your site. Concentrate on one side n u will get good results in no time. Also google will make ur site authorized soon. Regards, ML.
The titles of your new pages shouldn't affect the rankings of your other pages. By adding a blog you will just strengthen your rankings and help you gain the ability to rank for other terms. maddest_lover try actually reading the person's post before typing a generic response to rack up your post count. He is already #1 and doesn't need to waste time with directory submissions.
Agreed with vansterdam.. It'll boost your rankings. Not to worry at all... The quality and regularly updated content on blog will in fact maintain your rankings for long.
