Hi. I want to know why my PR has remained at 0 for almost half a year now. It went from 5 to 0 when I added text-link ads so I removed those. It has been 0 since then.

You should consider appealing to Google for a re-consideration. It has worked in the past. Be polite and state and admit your mistake.

 

To all you SEO Experts:

With the current system google is using to rate the weight of a web site, how has it affected the functionality of backlinks.

For example, how would the weight of a PR7 affect a PR N/A. Given the PR N/A has been registered for sometime. The PR7 website currently ranks in the top 1000 of alexa. Most links are internal, with the only outgoing links to other aspects of the website, such as subdomains. No external linking has been done.

With that said, if external linking where to be implemented, how would it affect the rank of a PR N/A given it has the same content and this PR7's only outgoing links would be this website. In addition, would having similar content, or keywords help in the ranking of this site on Google's Search Engine. Any time duration for that said effects?

Google search engine algorithm as of today is updating page rank and run time. Thus, there is an update everytime you search. Go to google's official blog, they have a statement weeks ago that state about how pageranking is done. Getting 300,000 backlinks in google now is not enough. Google needs content. They need pages with long articles. What sites are those backlinks coming from? If one backlinks are coming from blacklisted sites then ... it may have caused it...

Humans do not eat rotten food. Google does not display sites without content. Google is also blacklisting some sites. Be careful in what you do.

I have a PR 4 Blog now.

 

My linkdirectory went from pr4 to pr2 yesterday (even cehcked the pr checking websites) and today it went back up to 4. Anyone know what is going on with google PR?

 

Its surprising still I do have PR 1, although I do have enough backlinks but other website has better PR while they do not have good backlinks nor a good quality website. I often see some websites with same content on every page but still Google index them well and they have good PR too. Please suggest me needful changes for my website www.nighthawks.co.in

From 0 to 3. Although it has not realy a meaning it is still nicer to see some green instead of white or grey

 

Overall the PR on most of my sites seems to be decreasing every PR update.
Lot's of links pointing to the domains, but a lot are from directories and I guess they don't count anymore.

 

My PR is jumping around tody as well
