Anyone here use Google Analytics? I am curious, do you insert the code on just the main page of your website. Or do you insert the tracking code for multiple sites?

if you don't have it on every page then it wont track them. ;)
it would be like they left your site if they go to a page without the code.
it also wont track people that arrived on one of your inner pages.

You need to put code in each and every page, you want to track.

Its really a wonderful traffic tracking tool.
    But prefer statcounter over it.

For my wordpress blogs I simply add it into the header file, so it is loaded once on every page. If you run a manual web site (no cms) then add it into all the pages (unless you only wish to count the index page).

Good Luck, I know Google Analytics is a quality service.

    I like G! analytics because it's full-fearured. But it's not real-time stats.

I insert it on most pages... although sometimes when I add to old pages, it can screw up the rankings. Letting google know too much information about a site is never good, thats why I don't use chrome.

In websites you have to upload it to all pages but in free hosted blogger you can add that codes in anywhere around footer or header .

    Insert it on every page.

As said above, Google analytics is not real time, for real time tracking I use reinvigorate and woorpa, both of which are also full featured and extremely good.

because in many cases your home page is often not the "landing page" in which they find your site. it'll help you discover how people find your site in search engines, what are the most popular pages and key words and allows you to modify your site accordingly.
