Gates Says We Will Crush Google

Discussion in 'Bing' started by xfairguy, May 19, 2006.

Bill Gates announced Wednesday that they will crush Google, much like they did Netscape, by integrating their competing components, in this case search, into their operating system. With this integration, they will be able to ease user overload, as users will be able to search intranets, the internet, their pc's, the network and more from a common user interface, Windows.

I believe that M$ will be able to catch a lot of google users, specially people that starts the browser and uses the google because someone put it as default.

When M$N search engine will be the default webpage in the next IE version, a lot of people will start to use that search engine. :(

I am happy about this because I've said this before we need more competition added to Google and with all this bigdaddy mess going on with Google right now it sure would be nice to have another engine as a backup that sends good traffic.

Yep. Its too much that google has so much power to essentially decide the fate of a mom&pop website that doesn't have a huge marketing budget. It needs to be spread around a little more.

the more competition google get's the more google will (need to) improve! So the more competition, the more we get :) ( same with the email, gmail giving alot more space for the inbox is what made gmail so big )

As I know "new coke" was a very succesfull marketing strategy , they returned a lot of clients by giving them back the old coke , others say it was the biggest marketing mistake , anyway Coca-Cola ended ok with this :)

    Now ...
What makes me a little upset is that Google sued MS because they want to put MSN as default SE ... ok ... But Google is PAYING to distribute Firefox with Google toolbar installed !

Not fair in my opinion another reason to understand that Google is a money making machine (MS too but people have an idea that Google's primary reason is not to make money)

Yeah its too bad MSN's results SUCK. Seriously, they had a site that the domain expired listed in the top spot. WTF is that ?!?! As long as they keep having results like that they aren't a threat to anyone.

I must concentrate more on MSN optimization now...
    :) :)
I am already too happy using microsoft default pop up blocker. Just what I wanted in my internet client!
With mozilla I always think that google "might" be tracking my internet activity... ;)
