trafficwave - Your services sound very inciting, any chance you could PM your phone number to me?

Do you only do auto responders? That's the thing that keeps hanging me up.

    -------------------------

QuickFreeHost - Thanks for offering your help. I'm not sure how good my niche is but I am getting the best Adsense action with this site than any other site I applied Adsense to. My CTR moves from 11-12% and I'm getting 800+ visitors per day. That CTR percentage is with all my sites combined, this site is definitely higher.

I do have some monetizing ideas for the mailing list. I talked to James Jones on the phone yesterday and he gave me some great ones. James is a guru and he suggested Aweber for first choice or Getresponse second choice. I know there are many services out there and nobody probably knows about all of them. I'm always open to suggestions if you want to offer general ideas but I'm slightly paranoid about exposing my niche.

    -------------------------

All DP Members - Is it totally a bad idea to try and use my internet providers mail server with a program like Mail Them Pro? That program is supposed to handle .csv files, the thing is I don't know squat about them myself. Would it be a major pain to learn how to use .csv files. Would it be a major pain to use such a software for other reasons?

James also told me to put an email collection form on every page. I'm afraid that is going to make my site look cheesy. It already has lots of Adsense ads and some affiliate banners on it. Funny how many people click my Adsense ads but don't bother with my affiliate links. Makes me wonder how honest the other affiliate's really are. That's getting off topic but it does have to do with marketing.

I really do appreciate everybody's input here, thanks once again.

    Peace,

    Herman

Getresponse all the way. Killer feature set, fixed fee and intuitive interface. Easy to manage and great stat reporting.

kleroy and everybody else thanks for your input. I went with Getresponse because I can make unlimited lists and campaigns for $18 a month. This list is growing like crazy. I actually had 1080 some odd members last time I checked. They haven't yet made confirmation though.

Anyway if I went with Aweber I would be paying way more and getting less as far as I can see.

Now I just have to configure this monster so I can begin to monetize.

I'm not totally familiar with how everything works now days. Do all members have to make a confirmation or can I simply allow them to opt out if they don't want to receive email from me?

Sounds pretty lame I know but I really don't know what the law or rules are. I used to use Topica years ago and it was a free service but they put ads on my messages. Things have changed big time since then.

Once again any constructive help is appreciated.

    Peace,

    Herman

Since you are just starting your list I recommend that you compile it with a boxed auto responder e-mailer program. No better time than now to learn and apply it your self. When it gets too large you can always outsource and know whats going on.
