Hello all, Adding Sig links in forums. .. How it helps in terms of SEO? What are the benefits? Will it gives more crawl to our sites or backlinks ? i have seen many members here adds the home page in sig links (including myself). if we add inner pages will that give benefit to us ? or home page link is enough ... What about adding a link which redirect to a random page in our site? will that help? Thanks in advance.
Signature link, most of them being no follow' does not impart any PR juice to the links in your signature, however the crawlers do follow it. So it sure does help in getting a page indexed quicker. Also many people follow those links and thus would help in augmenting your website's visitor count. By and large quick indexing is the main benefit.

Sig links can do many goods. It can provided backlinks with do-follow forum you can get some benefit if that page got PR help search engine bot to crawl your site more often also can drive traffic (people who was attracted by your tempting keywords)
The google spiders will often crawl popular sites... so, if you put a Signature link in Popular dofollow forums like DP, it'll make google bots to visit your site fast and you'll get decent backlinks aswell from this.
sig links can be helpful, but they are only a small part of promoting your site. They allow page rank to be directed back towards your site, however if a page that you are posting on as multiple links then any benefit you receive is minimial. Sig links are good however for traffic as there is a chance that people will click on them and visit your site.
Actually I was not believe in signature links before 6 month ago but my sign space was blank so I put directory link on it and you don't believe after 6 month I can see many backlinks in Google (i.e. link:mydirectory.com) from Sign links and also PR2 due to quality backlinks. Signature link helps a lot.. IF you post or reply something very constructive other than "great posts" or "thanks for the cool info", even though he/she has great sig, I won't click. If some one puts good posts, then prolly the guy is smart and I like to check out the sigs. So being social is plus to get traffic from signature links.
