A few. We just recently finished up a huge project for CVS Pharmacy that streamlines the whole process of circular design and data management. It even pushes XML to Indesign for ready to print ciculars by geocode, store, and more. They print more then 100 million fliers a month.

Now I am working on my own version called CircularWEB.com which takes it a step further by managing planograms, creates signs and maps signs to planogram locations, manages skus, and can even create custom sales offers at both the POS level and eTail level.

Was quoted 6 hours for an article submission script and got precisely what I've been looking for. Excellent communication and support well beyond the handful of hours that I'd paid for.

Well-spoken, polite and patient, particularly with PHP newbies such as myself ;)

Cheers Michael, I'll be coming back for more work very shortly.

Well it's been a month now and I still haven't seen anything...

We talked a bit, and he said he would show me a beta by this weekend (He's promised this a few times)

    And it's now Sunday.

I tried contacting him all this weekend on MSN, but got no reply. I assumed he was busy or away...I tried phoning and no one picked up either.

I don't know what to do I guess, it's my right to see something right?

I understand that Mike has had some things in his life that have taken away from his ability to work on this. But these empty promises are disappointing. I need a schedule, I need a date of completion. I need to be told it's going to take longer than originally planned. I need to stop being let down on being shown something.

The database is apparently done, and it just needs to be "ported" over. I spoke to another programmer and he said that would only take a few hours. So why the two week wait?

Mike is a nice guy and all, but I think he just has too much on his plate? I'm kind of disappointed..the site should have launched a long time ago and I've missed out on some crucial marketing, had some interviews etc about it that I'm going to have to cancel becaues I have nothing to show - except for a html design I did.

    Keep in mind,

A developer's clock time goes beyond actual finger to keyboard time. There is also creative time.

Alright, it's been another 11 days

I found out through another client that my project should be up on the first.

For some reason I just don't see that happening.

Again I was promised...PROMISED to see something last weekend, and still nothing.

The other client's beta was due yesterday.

He said he'd call me back and he hasn't...

Is it ok to be fed up now?

    So...

He contacted me beginning of July, apologized, said we would have something soon, that we would come up with a schedule soon...it's July 6th now...

No sign of contact, no emails, phone calls, haven't even seen him on DP.

His other customer is in the same boat, we're feeling pretty scammed. I'm going to demand a refund soon.
