Does wordpress dump cookies on the visitors computers at all? Just need to know so i get the wording correct regarding a privacy policy on my blogs.
If you comment it certainly does, if you have a login it certainly does. Cookies are on just about every site now days!
There are four cookies dropped for a standard installation of WP. More depending on themes and plugins. Then if you are Admin, even more. A standard cookie would be for SessionID. One example of a plugin cookie would be 'Subscribe to Contents'. I suggest that you view your Cookies through your browser options, underneath security. Scroll down to your domain (alphabetical list, maybe with or without the .www). It will show you all of the cookies that are being dropped by your current installation. If you have any Ad widgets/plugins that came with your theme, then I would pay close attention to any cookies they may be dropping when drafting your policy.
