The sad thing is you are probably right.

How to make an easy few hundred dollars on DP:

1. Set up a website or redirect for your product or program
2. Put a link to that page in your signature
3. Make a thread about how you're making tons of money online (doesn't have to be real)
4. Optional - add a fake screenshot to the thread
5. Tell people it's easy to make money online - your signature has the answers
6. Watch the money roll in as the lemmings in the DP community all flood to your product because they are desperate

 

Have you ever try this 6 step guide for making easy few hundred dollars or you make waaaaay more than this, so your helping people who are just starting?
The only step that you are right about is part of step number 5:"it's easy to make money online".

 

I don't really have any secrets.

Always track everything and delete non-converting keywords. The hardest and most expensive part of affiliate marketing is finding keywords that convert well. I shoot for a 100% ROI. I'll start a new keyword's bid price at a certain percentage of the offers payout. If I can't get in the top 3 positions, I'll just delete it because it'll usually get a shitty CTR which of course will lower the QS. I'll let a keyword run for a while and if it doesn't convert I just delete it. No tricks, just patientence and money.

The content network is a totally different ball game.
