New blog, is my content good so far?

I started a blog today and am planning on making 5 post's a day. Now what i want to know if do you as a reader think my post's are easy to understand and will allow the reader to learn easily or do i need to improve.

You need a spell checker - replacment, aorund, diffrent, aswell, agian, usefull
are all wrong

You also need to know the difference between there and their, your and you're.

You're posts so far are ok. There are some minor grammatical and spelling errors, but for your audience I think you can get away with them.

You can make them even better by explaining everything, even the most minor details you think a newbie should know. Don't take for granted that your reader knows everything.

For example, in the the post Create a Simple Function, you should explain what is a function and why I might want to create one. Or, to build more content, create an entirely separate post explaining the basics of a function, then you can link to that post whenever you talk about functions.

The same thing about "echo." I'm getting it's syntax that means "write this to the browser," but I'm not sure. What's the difference between "echo" and "print."

Somewhere on your site explain PHP - what's the language and what can I use it for. What are some PHP alternatives and why should I choose PHP over them?

Another suggestion...add some pseudocode (comments) that explains what each line of code does. You do that for some of the lines, but not for enough of them. Make the comments in one color and the code in another color/font so that it's easier to tell the difference between the two.

 

Your domain will cost thousands after several months of good promotion... You just need to have a more creative theme...

I agree with the others. The site is good, you just need to get a new theme. This stuff seems to index well, and should get you quite a few hits once you get a PR and things get into google.

 

To say frankly, the site design is very poor.... there are thousands of wordpress themes that are better than this one.. Do a little search and choose a better one (3 col is good).
Content is good..but the font of the code in the box is not good looking.

Hi i recommend you to find a wider template. Im using a 1650 resolution and your blogs looks soo small. Because your content are wordy, get a bigger one... And edit your CSS to give more colors. its pretty "black and white"
