How many months do you need to go from PR1 to PR5? Which is your most effective strategy for that? :)

This is not a question about time... My first blog actually went from PR0 to PR5 after the first update. But that was also the good old days.

Well yeah, if you work hard, first update...
But yeah, nobody can work that hard...today, nobody concentrates himself 100% on site, most only on earnings...
So yeah, couple of months, maybe a year or more ;)

yup, I agree strongly. There are still timing penalties with the serps, but that this is something different to PR. If you can get back links from official sites, with High PRs, which are very related to your area, then you may do well. But don’t expect a pr of 5 in 2 months! No matter how hard you work

Dont think about the time it will take for your site to get to PR5. Think about the time you are willing to put in some hard work to get it there! That's the reality of it. Nothing is that easy!

We do all need to understand though that hard work doesn't always equal PR, and PR shouldn't be a measure of success and work. Though its said to be quite a good view in progress, a low PR doesn't nessecarily mean your not trying. I worked for ages on my first site to come up with a PR3 and after a second update, after more hard work it dropped to a PR2. So it doesn't bother me... I'm happy with everything else and you don't really need a high PR to be successful.

I can say it can be sometimes luck...sometimes it doesnt take much time for your pagerank to increase..but sometimes it will take upto a year...so concentrate on quality content...see that you get backlinks..if your visitors or reader will like your site and feel its useful then google will surely do...and they will give you a better pagerank.. ;)

If you get alot of high pr back links, it could happen in the next update. But since pr update every 3 month it will take a while to see your efforts

I've made it from Pr0 to Pr5 in one month on a new site (the update occurred the following month)
You just need enough links and/or high pr links.

Nowadays, the trend is like a good newly established site will start off with PR 1 or 2 and then slowly made its way to the top. Maybe another 6 months should be a reasonable time to get to PR 3 or 4 provided everything on SEO is carried out properly.

I did (as I said in my first post)?
