Hello, I am using Adsense on my website but dont know why i am getting too low CPC. My site is regarding email service and normall shows email related ads in google. Please post ur suggesstions.
Cpc is simply a function of supply and demand. If your kw's have a high supply (lots of content network pages displaying the same kw's) and a low demand (not many advertisers having to compete for their ads to be placed on pages displaying your kw's), you end up with a low cpc. How can you correct this? Change your content, or wait it out for supply to drop or demand to rise. You can also lower the number of ads displayed on a page to reduce the chance of cheap ads showing. You may also choose to filter some ads, even though G explains that this is dumb. Want to be smart? Learn how to draw them in with high traffic/ cheap $ pages, and then divert visitors to low traffic/ high $ pages.
sometimes less is more. if you have crappy performing adsense codes, take them out. less ads on page = higher paying ads on page.
Well, is a natural fluctuation... dont get too stressed about it. Adsense its not a machine, it has some up and downs, CPC goes up next day drops 45%... Relax.
Yes, CPC is going down for everyone. This happen because at the begining stage, google are paying high CPC to get more publisher for them. However, we can see more and more adsense publisher nowadays. IN this case, google reduce the CPC because they no more worry no publisher for them
My cpc's actually up, but it's primarily because I've been removing a lot of poor performing ads that were on database pages.
