What if You click on Your Adsense via Proxies?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Hoster1983, Sep 6, 2008.

I am just curious, never tried this tough :p. What if you access your website using proxies and click on your ads? Would Google recognize it as a proxy? Or would they be able to trace the real IP somehow...

What if I use a proxy which is usually not detected as a proxy by scripts?

You'll create an un-natural pattern and undo yourself, it's not worth it.

Even if you get it to work at first you'll be sending your own conversion rates through the floor and will be paid less and less per click... again, not worth it.

Google may mark you as a problem webmaster and that might hurt any future projects your involved in, again... not worth it.

Google gives you search results in less than one second, do you think they can't find all proxies in the world and mark them? ;)

obviously they don't know if you are using a proxy, however, they can check for patterns like time between clicks, geographical ip location, browser settings
I think it's not worth it

it's not worth it, you're better of channeling your energies into something more legit than this.

You are putting your account into trouble... google crawls hundreds of proxies daily and they know when the clicks comes from proxies...

if you thought about it, don't you think others using the same proxy are also clicking their adsense ads? then all these adsense ads being clicked by webmasters using the same proxy IP address sure can't look good.
