How To Create A Text Link To A Specifc Product On Amazon?

Discussion in 'Amazon' started by bad_bob00, Sep 5, 2008.

    Hi,

I'm an Amazon affiliate and I was just wondering how do you link to a specific product on the Amazon website?
I only want to have a simple text link, nothing else.

I couldn't find this option on the Amazon associates page, any idea how its done?

    Thanks for any help

It's there, dude, but it can be a little confusing!

Choose Build links/widgets from the left sidebar and use the Text Links widget and then use Link to Any Page.

Then you can put in the url to the particular product that you want, or indeed to any page on Amazon.

Not sure why they did it like that though...

for amazon UK it would be
     http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/ASIN/ref=nosim?tag=YOURASSOCIATEID
    Code (markup):
    for USA
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/ASIN/ref=nosim?tag=YOURASSOCIATEID
    Code (markup):
replace "ASIN" and "YOURASSOCIATEID" as required depending on the product.

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/ASIN/?tag=YourTag-20
    Code (markup):
I use this code for Amazon Products links.
But for the other links (Link to Search Result, Cat., etc..) I use the BuildLink Menu In my Amazon-Account.

You should also check out their custom widgets and the AStore functionality. The AStore can be useful if you take the time to appropriately integrate it into your overall site layout.

    What about this one....

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0684859386/ref=nosim/yourassociateid/

I saw this on someone else's blog....it looks like they have the ISBN number after ASIN.

And what is the difference between EXEC and DP?
