As you may or may not be aware, Google has released their new web browser nicknamed "Google Chrome" in BETA.

Recently, Mozilla released a major upgrade to their most popular web browser, titled "FireFox 3".

With such new innovative web browsers being released, it's time to compare and contrast the differences in both performance and interface that both browsers have to offer.

Which browser is faster? Google Chrome or Mozilla FireFox?

Take a read on the "9 Things to Love and Hate About Google Chrome". Please also post your feedback and experience with both browsers within this thread, to help the community compare which browser is easiest to use and fastest to browse with. :)

The support of Java and the implementation of JS 8 will put Chrome on the charts incredibly fast. Check the benchmark chart for Google Chrome, IE, Firefox & Safari here:
    http://www.internetbrowserchrome.com/
Really amazing perfomance increase realised by Chrome if you compare executing javascripting in other browsers

Chrome is really faster than firefox with few tabs... but if you open 30 tabs in chrome, it will eat your ram...

No, it won't. It will handle 30 tabs better than Firefox, no doubt. Chrome has much better memory management.

Chrome is also much quicker than Firefox at rendering web pages and Javascript.

Got to go with FF for now. I do like what I have seen with Chrome, but until it comes out of Beta, and we see some add-ons released for it, it won't be my default browser just yet.

Choosing IE doesn't make anyone stupid.

Second, FireFox is the best STILL... heck it's the backbone of Chrome, without it, Chrome wouldn't exist!

Chrome is only faster because it is a stripped down version of FireFox!

Chrome is going to own in the future. It has just been released so it can't be expected to be fully functional with every web app. As time goes on and chrome is updated it will kill firefox. But we will see

You can't kill what you solely depend on!

I mean right now I have Adblock, FireBug, and Gmail Mangage, all of which I CANNOT live without!

FireBug or web development. Adblock, err hope you know what it's for, it won't ever be in Chrome or else Adsense would crumble to pieces. Gmail Manage to check my email every time I open FireFox and every like 15 minutes and it turns blue when I've got mail!

Nope sorry, Chrome you sir, FAIL!

The good thing is that google chrome will never have blocked google ads !!
The bad thing is that google will track everything

I agree totally, I think chrome has great potential, but at the moment it seems a bit buggy to me.
EG: when I go to the whos.amung.us graphs stats using chrome, I cannot choose between days, hours etc. (happens only in chrome on 2 different computers)
Also when I use chrome and click the address bar to highlight it, then right click so I can copy the address, it crashes.

When these small issues are resolved, and Add ons become available for it, then I will embrace it.. until then, Firefox is my choice :D

    Cheers
    James
